an early start
Choosing the right time of day for your grad shoot can make a bigger difference than you might think. It may feel like the default option is to book an evening shoot, but I always encourage my clients to assess their options before scheduling! What works best for someone else could be completely different than your desired experience and photos, which is why it's important to make the right decision for you! When it comes to scheduling your grad shoot with me, you have options that can guide you to your dream shoot- don't miss the opportunity!
Beginning your day on the right foot
Booking your grad shoot in the morning is one of the best ways to start your special day on the right note— you get it done first thing, which means you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day without that anxious “I still have my shoot later” feeling hanging over you. You’ll already be all glammed up bright and early, so you get to look and feel gorgeous the entire day! Plus, morning light is so underrated — it’s crisp, clean, and brings out soft, cool pastel tones that look amazing in photos. There’s also rarely any lines in the morning, so we can shoot more freely without wasting any time waiting around. The only small trade-off is that we can't shoot at the Fish Interfaith Center in the early hours (unless the sky is gloomy), but you’ll get to choose a different location on campus such as the piazza, or spend extra time at your other favorite spots. It’s a win all around!
a meaningful start to the final chapter
Morning shoots aren’t just about convenience — they’re about starting your day with intention. There’s something special about stepping into your cap and gown as the world is still waking up, taking a moment to really soak it all in. It’s a chance to celebrate everything you’ve worked for, to feel grounded in the moment before the day picks up. With the soft morning light and calm energy, it becomes more than just a photoshoot — it’s a quiet, meaningful way to honor how far you’ve come and everything that’s ahead.
