THE VISION
Almla Active has been one of my favorite brands to shoot over the years, so when they told me they were partnering with The Big 3 Rescue, a non-profit that rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes dogs, I knew I had to be a part of this project! Almla designed four different pilates socks for this collection and couldn't wait to share a portion of their sales from this launch with The Big 3! The first steps pre-shoot were finding a location and recruiting models. We landed at Warm Studio in Costa Mesa, and I reached out to some models that have shot with Almla before and was so thrilled to have them back!
THE EXECUTION
When the day of the shoot arrived, I couldn't have been more excited- puppies and pictures- my two favorite things! The two pups on set with us were named Theo and ___; having them around kept the energy high throughout the day! Alma's themed collections always make for an exciting and unique shoot where we all get to explore our creative abilities. The only challenge was posing the dogs considering they weren't trained, but we came prepared with a shot list to keep on schedule which means we had time to get some extra shots and being in a controlled environment helped to limit potential hiccups. Overall the shoot was super fun and smooth!
THE OUTCOME
After sifting through and editing the photos from this shoot, it's safe to say that I am obsessed with how they turned out! Almla has been using these pictures to promote their new Best Furry Friends collection and to get their client-base involved in the "Puppies & Pilates" classes they offer! This shoot was a triple win for Almla, The Big 3, and me and I can't wait to collab with them again in the future. Giving back to such meaningful causes is the absolute best feeling!
