Meet Gracie.

My name is Grace, but you can call me Gracie! Many of my friends also call me GSHAF, hence my Instagram handle (@photobygshaf). The nickname began in High School since my last name (Shafqat) is unique and hard for some to say (pronounced SHAF-KIT). Anyways... I would love to work together & for you to know a bit about me before we connect!

I was born and raised in sunny San Diego, California and now live in Orange County. Growing up, I always had to do something hands-on with others, whether it be sports, summer camps, philanthropic work, or art. As a teenager, I discovered my passion for photography and videography. I felt God guide me toward using my extroverted and creative capabilities to capture the lives of others. After graduating from Chapman University’s film school, I understood the importance of telling stories through a lens. That's what I strive to do with all of my clients. It is with immense gratitude that I'm able to freeze moments in time with film and my digital camera that you can look back on forever.

I feel incredibly blessed to have family and friends who supported this passion and watched my career come to fruition. Their support means everything to me and I owe my confidence to them. I also know I wouldn't be pursuing this career if it weren't for the grace of God! He gave me this precious gift and I never want to take it for granted.
